Bellissimo! An elegant evening with Italian flair
Invitations to the Symphony’s season-opening, black tie gala on Friday, October 8, are in the mail. Santa Rosa Golf and Country Club is the site for our annual fund-raising dinner and auction. Join us for camaraderie, libations and a menu of seasonal delights. Soprano ensemble Bella Sorella, named vocal Group of the Year by the 2007 Los Angeles Music Awards, will entertain.

The Italian theme echoes the program for Classical Set One, with works by Verdi, Paganini, Respighi and Berio being performed on October 9, 10 and 11 under the baton of Bruno Ferrandis.
Position Opening: Development Director
The Director of Development is responsible for achieving the contributed revenue goals of the Santa Rosa Symphony through the development, management, implementation, and evaluation of all fund-raising activities. To that end, the Development Director manages staff and volunteers in planning and executing all annual, sponsorship, capital, endowment, and planned giving programs, as well as fund-raising events and benefits.
Position Opening: Education Associate
The Education Associate is responsible for assisting with managing and maintaining various multi-faceted education department programs. The Education Associate has three main job responsibilities: coordinating 1 or 2 of the Youth Ensembles, managing registration, collections and data entry for the entire Education Department, and assisting in the implementation of the Music for Our Schools Program.
We Met the Challenge
The SRS Development Department is happy to report that the Match Grant to support Music for Our Schools and Training Young Musicians has raised a total of $14,100. The initial $5,000 challenge offered by Susan and Bruce Dzieza was met by 66 large and small contributions totaling $9,100. A heart-felt thank you to all donors!

Santa Rosa Symphony wishes to acknowledge the following for recent funding support:
