(SANTA ROSA, CA) ö The Santa Rosa Symphonyâs fifty-five member Youth Orchestra will present a Spring Concert at
8 p.m., Saturday, May 21, 2005, at the Jackson Theater on the Sonoma Country Day School Campus, 4400 Day School Place in Santa Rosa.
Led by Los Angeles-based conductor, Shenyeh ö in his last appearance with the SRS Youth Orchestra, and whose conducting credits include the Cleveland Chamber Symphony, the Moscow Symphony, the Santa Rosa Symphony, and the National Symphony in Washington ö the program includes Mussorgskyâs Pictures at an Exhibition, Bizetâs Carmen Suites #1 & #2, and Mozartâs Piano Concerto #23 featuring celebrated Sonoma County pianist Marilyn Thompson.
Advance sale tickets are $6 and may be purchased by calling the Santa Rosa Symphony Box Office at 707-54-MUSIC. Tickets purchased at the door the day of performance are $10 for adults and $8 for students and seniors. The program includes works by Mussorgsky and
